Quilts 6 of 2009

This is the quilt I made for my youngest daughter Jaime... I think she liked it...I hope she did...I need to get a photo of the one that I made our son-in-law Patrick... it was mostly black and I wanted to take a photo out in Tucson but didn't...I will try to post one soon?
I have already started on another one for my hubby...I found some great wine fabric ...bottles of wine and grapes so you know his theme...back to sewing!
Well it has been a long time since I have posted... I am here now and wanted to share a photo of my family in Tucson...this was the first time for 3 of them to see the desert and the sunshine so bright...as they reported to me that they all enjoyed and love to see all the different cactus plants all around...
I have quit a few thoughts on new quits to be made and the planning is beginning...I always find that fun to do...will show what I come up with...
Happy Day to All!!!

Bloggers Quilt Festival 2009...

This morning I read about a "Virtual Quilt Festival" being hosted by Park City Girl.

This is one of my favorite quilts that I made for a gift...The center squares had been signed by there family members and a block was saved for the theme of the quilt ( 50 th Anniversary).

I think they were very surprised when they open the box...also I have been told that they had showed everybody they seen...When I visited during the summer I seen that it was draped over a rocking chair for everyone to see...I am very glad they enjoyed they work I put in it and the colors and sentiments...

Here is a link to the blog that started me on this posting:...http://parkcitygirl.blogspot.com/2009/04/quilt-festival-spring-2009.html

Please go visit and check out others blogs for more quilts...

Because I can't remember squat, Tar created the Dory Award. (Do you remember Dory from Finding Nemo?)
Unlike most awards passed around in Blogland, this one is not to be passed along TO others (after all, that wouldn't be very nice, would it?)...it is to be TAKEN. If you consider yourself eligible to receive the DORY AWARD, then by all means please take it and display it proudly on your blog! You know best if you deserve it!
And if you do, WELCOME to the DORY CLUB! If you're not qualified to join, be thankful!

I seen this on a Blog and Loved it...so I decided to share with all of you...

Thank You, Tar...

Carolyn at CRANBERRY CROSSINGS has offered me an award!

It's the Lemonade Award. Thank you Carolyn!

Carolyn explained that this award is given to bloggers that have taken lemons and made lemonade! So what a wonderful, sweet compliment to get! I appreciate that so much, Carolyn!
I am supposed to nominate 10 people for this award, but I am passing it along to everyone who reads my blog. Bloggers are the most creative, wonderful people ever, so I know I can't choose just 10.
So grab it and enjoy!
